A few pictures in the town of Moalboal, Cebu, Philippines. We spent a week in this little town diving with the "Cebu Dive Centre".
We arrived after a 2 hour ferry trip and a further 2 hours in a taxi to reach the town.
We arrived at 10.30pm and after dropping our bags at our hotel we went to explore the town and find some food to eat.
We ended up in a bar which was advertising food. After sitting down for a while we realized we were the only couple. All the other patrons were single western guys chatting to local Filipinas! Yep, we managed to end up in a brothel. We stayed and shared a portion of chicken and chips (the only food they had left in the kitchen) and watched the girls and ladyboys working the punters.
After dinner we went for a walk and found our dive centre. We then went off to bed as we had done 2 dives in Bohol, followed by a 1 hour taxi ride, then the ferry trip and another taxi ride - we were bushed!
We were here for Christmas week, so every day we had the local kids singing snippets of We wish you a merry Christmas and other carols.
We spent a lot of the time doing what divers do best - drinking in the dive centre bar!
To get money we had to take a ride in a "Tuk-Tuk" to the ATM, about 3kms away.
We met some wonderful people and had a brilliant time. We will definitely go back to Cebu and do it all again.

Joy is the dive centre administrator and the hostess at "Decostop", Tisoy has made himself at home in the dive centre.
We watched as the Dive Masters did all the work, they worked really hard to ensure their guests have a great holiday.
The whole property was covered in every shape, size and colour bottle you could imagine.
This is how we went to the bank.

This is how Joy knew David needed another beer.
The weather picked up on the last day we were in Moalboal. The tail end of a typhoon whipped the island causing lumpy seas and some damage inland.
Tricky work in these waves
Dive master Bro on the boat and Instructor Phil in the water.
Phil teaching the experts how to do it!
This boy was jumping somersaults from the wall showing off to his friends.
These puppies were tiny when we first arrived, they grew quickly, but the mother was shrinking every day from lack of food.
We saw Coke bottles filled with a red liquid all over the island. David thought they were Cherry Coke, but saw the sign beside this batch before he bought any!
