Our winter vacation for 2017 started in the Maldives.
David had visited before in 2000 and loved the diving - it was where he did his first 10 dives. Jo had never been before so was keen to visit.
We got a great deal on a live aboard boat called the MV Leo run by Emperor. Things got better when we got onto the boat and found we had been upgraded to the stateroom, so we had a huge bedroom and en-suite bathroom that was the width of the boat.
The crew and boat boy gave us a great weeks diving, showing us sharks, including whale sharks, rays, manta rays, lots of other fish and nudibranchs.
We have not had time to name all of the creatures we saw on the trip, if you see something in one of the pictures and want to kmnow what it is please drop us a line telling us the date and picture number and we will tell you what the creature is called.
