Wake up call at 6am again today!

What a hard day!

Today we started at the channel that I lost my air on the last time we were here. I was petrified about doing this dive to the point I couldn’t stop shaking. I wasn’t able to talk to Jenny as she was nervous as well and as the minutes ticked away I was getting worse. I ended up telling Anke about the situation so I could calm down again. We jumped in and followed Anke but the current was moderate so I was actually calming myself down quite well. We dropped down and when we got to a good spot Thity hooked us on immediately and we were OK.

The second dive Jenny didn’t do because she’s not really interested in sharks. Caroline was there when Jenny said she wasn’t doing the dive so she said I could buddy with her.

The current was stronger than this morning, but I managed with my camera even though I had a few problems with my dsmb and a few times I felt tangled up when trying to put my reef hook away.

I got another batch of great shots so I was really pleased.

After a 4 and a half hour crossing to the next dive site we did a normal night dive which I always enjoy doing. We teamed up as a group of 4 with Caroline and Andrew. I tried to stay back some as 4 of us in close proximity meant that I was getting kicked and so was my camera. I also kicked Peter pretty hard too which I hate. It is also difficult diving with people other than your normal buddy, as I was at the back and I felt a bit rushed to keep up with the group which meant I didn't spend as long as normal setting up my shots. Then to add to my problems my torch ran out of battery. I just never seem to have luck with any of the torches I own, they always pack up on me, even when they have just been charged.

After dinner we all gathered and chatted for awhile then I went off to bed. I have a bad headache and need some sleep so I’m signing off and turning off the light. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
