Same wake up call 6am!
I am hoping that today is a better day. We should get some Whale sharks and maybe some Mantas as we are close to their cleaning stations.
After the first dive we started to make a move to where the whale sharks are. As we arrived at our destination the weather started to change and the waves started crashing against the wall protecting the island. It then started to rain so there was an early gathering to make a decision on what to do next. Anke had made the decision to cancel the whale watch as the Dhoni was getting battered in the rough seas. The decision was made to do one more dive on a shallow to deep reef dive and then go to the island for a deserted island experience.
Everyone went to the island except for me, I always find it difficult for me to go back on land after being on a boat, I find the change from boat to shore to boat disorientating, so I just stayed on the boat and chilled out.
After we got to our destination we anchored for the night and had a fantastic BBQ with the most amazing dessert.
After the BBQ we all gathered on the middle deck. Things got funny here as we waited to see if Mantas would appear. Jenny brought up her nail polish and the decision was then made to paint one nail on everyone’s toes, including the crew’s toes. We then had a photo taken on the blue-o-two flag but changed the two to toe. Killed an hour for sure if not more. Very good evening indeed.
I couldn’t say goodnight to David tonight as the Internet went down so I hope he has a good night and I’ll talk to him tomorrow.
