North Male Atoll, Rasdhoo

Excellent last dive.... it started great and just got better.

We all got back on the Dhoni and cleaned our kit and hung it around the Dhoni to dry as we travelled back to Male Harbour. As we all cleaned up and ate there were photos taken, lots of laughter. We had an awesome lunch (lasagne). Then after lunch we settled our bills and chilled out for the rest of the day.

Everyone took turns packing so we weren’t in everyone’s face and just sat around chatting, laughing and sharing stories.

I went on a mission to find out if one of the crew boys could get a stuck screw out of my housing and after about 4 hours it appeared on my lap all fixed with the screw turning. The crew were all awesome and they all treated us so well.

Rehan is the crew member on the dive boat that took care of Jen and I all week. He did our nitrox (because I didn’t want to break the machine) and he always handed me my camera. He helped wherever he was needed a really nice lad.

Said was also a nice guy but he was helping at the other end of the Dhoni so we didn’t see him much.

Tomorrow everyone but Elaine and I leave the boat at 6am. We then leave at about 8am.

I got a hold of David tonight to check me in for my flights home, which he did and I’m now sorted for my flight home. Jen, Sandra, Peter and I were the last to go to bed about midnight. Late night but always worth it for the stories. Anke told us some stories which would scare anyone out of a job in the sea but she motors on like everything is great. She’s a great person and awesome cruise director.
